industry experience

I worked as a Register Transfer Level (RTL) Developer and Research Associate at the Center for Advanced Research in Engineering (CARE) in Islamabad, Pakistan, from Dec 2011 to Sep 2014.

During this period, I collaborated with multiple teams: the Digital Signal Processing team, the Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) team, and the Radio Frequency team on software-defined radio.

As an RTL developer, I implemented algorithms on FPGA using Verilog. Later, test and verify the design using exhaustive test benches and automated checks applied using ChipScope Pro.

I was also responsible for maintaining internal technical documents, coordinating amongst teams, writing patents, and coordinating with patent agents.

My industry experience trained me to work under strict deadlines, understand how large-scale software systems are developed and maintained, the importance of documentation for coordination amongst teams, and the importance of patents for copyright protection.
